Up Front with Amy (Miller) Weaver

View of the Davis Library’s Main Entrance around 12 PM 10.5.12 (Amy Weaver - center)

Today’s Amy (Miller) Weaver’s last day working for the Davis Library.  She’s been our Periodicals & Government Documents Associate for the past eleven years responsible for taking care of all of our traditional Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests, processing nearly all of our serial publications, and making sure these materials are easily accessible to our library users.

In addition to her work in the library, she’s been very active on campus serving as adviser to both the Delta Theta sorority and the All GreekCouncil over the last several years.   She’s also been engaged in a number of volunteer activities throughout the local community.  It is her commitment to community outreach that is stealing her away from us as she’s leaving to take an administrative position with Vinton Baptist Church in nearby Vinton, Ohio.

While we’ll miss Amy and the fantastic job she’s done for us here at Davis Library, we wish her all the best as she starts a new chapter in her life.

If you’d like to join us in bidding her farewell, we’re holding a reception for her today (Friday, October 05, 2012) from 2 PM to 4 PM (that's right now!) on the Davis Library’s Main Floor.  Cake and punch will be served.

We’ll miss you Amy!  Bon voyage!  Good luck!
