Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend Reminder…

Just a reminder that the Davis Library at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College will be closed this coming weekend in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday marking the birthday of one of the most significant figures in the Civil Rights Movement in the United States during the 1950-60s.

Davis Library will be:

• CLOSED Saturday, January 17^th, Sunday, January 18^th & throughout the daytime hours on Monday, January 19^th (MLK Day)

• REOPENNING from 5-10 PM Monday, January 19^th (MLK Day) to allow students the opportunity to prepare for their classes, which will be resuming on Tuesday, January 20^th.

All classes are CANCELLED and all campus offices are CLOSED Mon. 1/19/15.

Welcome back!

Classes for the 2014-2015 Academic Year - Spring Semester here at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College start tomorrow (Monday 1/12/15)!

The winter/holiday break is coming to an end, so things got a little busy on campus this evening outside Davis Library. Everyone seems to be preparing for our students' return and looking to get back to business as usual. At least, that is, until there's another holiday.

Don't forget! Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day is coming up soon!

At any rate, we just want to use this opportunity to put out a little reminder about our hours this week...

• Davis Library has resumed its regular library hours by being open tonight (Sun. 1/11/15) from 5-9 PM.
• We will be offering evening hours again this coming week and will be open Monday-Thursday (1/12/15 - 1/15/15) from 8 AM-10 PM.
• Then, Friday 1/16/15 we will only be open from 8 AM-5 PM.
• Please note that Saturday 1/17/15 & Sunday 1/18/15, we will be CLOSED in observance of the MLK, Jr. Day Holiday.
• And, on Monday 1/18/15 (MLK, Jr. Day) we will also be CLOSED throughout the daytime, however, the library will REOPEN that evening from 5-10 PM.

Davis Library is gearing up for a whole new term and year here at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College. Classes for the 2014-2015 Academic Year - Spring Semester begin Monday, January 12, 2015.

This week, Davis Library will be OPEN for the following hours:

• Monday (1/5) – Friday (1/9) from 8 AM – 5 PM
• CLOSED Saturday (1/10)
• Regular hours RESUME Sunday, January 11, 2015 with the Davis Library being OPEN that evening from 5-9 PM.
