We’re still between terms here at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College so things are a little quieter than usual this week at the Davis Library.  

However, since we still have a few people visiting us in preparation for the Summer I and 10-Week Sessions that start Monday, June 2^nd, we want to remind everyone about our abbreviated hours due to the upcoming holiday weekend…

• We’ll be CLOSED from Friday, May 23^rd – Monday, May 26^th (Memorial Day.)   
• We’ll REOPEN for a short week Tuesday, May 27^th – Thursday, May 29^th with hours from 8 AM – 5:30 PM.

Actually, our library hours will continue to be condensed throughout the summer months as all campus offices are operating on a 4-Day Work Week until mid-August.

Another (First Week of Break) Viewpoint

It’s the first week of the break here at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College and Davis Library is now operating on a 4-Day Work Week until mid-August.

Our hours throughout the summer months are as follows:

• Mondays – Thursdays 8 AM – 5:30 PM (NO Friday, Saturday & Sunday Hours)
• Davis Library will also be CLOSED for Federal Holiday observances for Memorial Day on Monday, May 26^th & Independence Day on Thursday, July 3^rd

WARNING:  Air-Conditioning on the Davis Library’s MainFloor is not functioning properly this month.  So, if you’re visiting us in-person and plan to stay awhile, then you may find the building's Top Floor and Ground Floor much more comfortable places to hang-out as the cooling systems in those areas are working well.

We’re hopeful that the problem will be remedied by the time classes for Summer I and 10-Week Sessions BEGIN Monday, June 2^nd.

Another (It’s Finals Week!) Viewpoint

It’s Finals Week here at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College!  And, we at Davis Library want to wish everyone the best of luck with their exams.  

Congrats to 2014 Grads too!

Don’t forget!  The end of a semester always means changes in our hours of operation…

Since all exams should be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, the Davis Library will CLOSE at 5 p.m. that evening as well.  

We will REOPEN on Friday, May 9^th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be CLOSED again for Commencement and throughout the weekend Saturday, May 10^th & Sunday, May 11^th. 

Davis Library will also be CLOSED on Monday, May 12^th for Staff Development. 

Then, starting Tuesday, May 13^th Davis Library will begin operating on an abbreviated 4-day work-week schedule with hours from 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursday—CLOSED Fridays—throughout  the summer months until mid-August.
