Sandy’s Impact Up Front

View of Davis Library's Main Entrance around 10:30 am Tuesday 10.30.12

The “Frankenstorm” that hit the East Coast yesterday has had a far-reaching impact.  Today’s wet snow and gusty winds in our local Southeastern Ohio region are a result of the Post-Tropical Cyclone’s move inland.

Good thing most kiddies in our area got their Trick-or-Treating out of the way last week when temperatures were much warmer with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s.

We’re hopeful that relief efforts go smoothly and damage left by the Sandy’s fury doesn’t prove to be as monstrous as originally anticipated.  Our hearts go out to those adversely affected by the storm.  Halloween’s no fun if it’s scary for real.

Now, since it’s almost October 31st, we thought we’d treat you with a brief listing of spooky reads available from Davis Library
